Beautiful Quebec City

Ok, so Quebec I absolutely fell head over heels in love with! But I don’t know if it would be fair to say it’s my favourite city in Canada, because it legitimately felt like we were walking into a small french town. Now part of that is my untrained French ear that cannot distinguish French-French from Canadian French (I know, I know,  there’s a huuuuge difference but my brain only hears oui oui!). And part of it was the optical illusion created by all the gorgeous cobble stones!
So maybe the city isn’t particularly typically Canadian,  but it is the epitome of French Canada and it was so beautiful I am still swooning!
With the city walls, the river running past, the statues, the stone buildings, and all those delicious French cafés,  it’s like stepping into a French Canadian storybook!

  1. Quebec city was my favorite place on the east coast–there was a cold snap happening when we went last spring so we spend a lot of time in a lot of pubs–favorite moment was drinking cider and playing Jenga in a 400-year-old house turned tavern!

    • There is nothing I love more than being stuck indoors with a cider! I imagine Quebec city would be filled with awesome little spots for that..what a pity the weather didn’t misbehave while we were there…!
