Stanley Park

One of the things we loved about Vancouver was having Stanley Park within walking distance of the city. I love how you can go from being completely immersed in concrete and high rises one moment, then ocean and cold breeze the the next,  then tall trees and the smell of sap the next. Beautiful contrast.  We’ve frequented Stanley park a lot during our visit,  soaking up the peace and quiet (we’ve even been lucky enough to get some sunshine!). The only downside, for me, in the park are the overly praticle paved roads. I know,  I know, the rangers need to get around and its easier for bikes and you can veer onto more rugged paths,  but concrete underfoot spoils the illusion a little! Even still, the park is just breath taking and well worth the visit.
