Kenya Series – Lake Naivasha

About an hour from Nairobi sits Naivasha, a cute little town just off the highway sporting, of course, Lake Naivasha and some amazing wildlife. The lake was home to Joy Adamason, the little house her and George shared with Elsa the lioness is still there today and acts a a museum. A perfect weekend in Naivasha? Camping and listening to hippos grunt by night, tea at Joy Adamsoms and a hike through Hells Gate – one of the few National parks you can walk through in Kenya on foot!

    • Thanks Denise – aren’t they just beautiful? I love seeing animals in a less predictable environment like naivasha, zebras surrounded by green trees and grass rather than a never ending savannah, so gorgeous!
