Print Me

Today I decided to sit down and finally begin organising my Kenyan photos into prints. For me, having my negatives developed was the most exciting feeling. That surprise, how did they turn out, who did we get photos of again, what did we snap? There is something so satisfying about the tactility of holding a physical photograph. Something permanent. Something romantic. And something practical – I imagine myself at 80 flipping through my photo albums, not switching on my 2012 Samsung netbook and plugging in my 320 GB hard drive to reminisce on the yesteryears!

In choosing which images to print I stumbled upon one I had forgotten I ever took – it’s so exciting to see an image as if new again! Bernard’s expression in this photo is absolutely priceless! I just love him to pieces!
